French-Italian he began studying the flute at nine years of age in Paris where he was born.

He was immediately singled out by maestro Severino Gazzelloni undo whose direction, over the following years. He perfected a vast repertoire of contemporary music.
He was the youngest pupil to attend courses at the Chigiana Academy of Siena where at sixteen years of age he won the highest qualification the "Diploma d'Onore".

At the same time, he continued his musical studies in France with maestros Marcel Mo˙se and Jean-Pierre Rampal. He perfected his technique with the latter as a pupil in the master class of virtuosic interpretation at Nice.

He graduated with full marks and distinction from the Giuseppe Verdi conservatory in Milan.

He competed as a soloist at both national and international festivals (Italy, Luxembourg and France).

Jean-Charles Candido has collaborated with important orchestras (Hungarian, Slovakian, Lithuanian and Polish) and with directors and soloists of international fame amongst whom are the celebrated K. Richter, S. Sondeckis, V. Tatrei, and C. Katsaris.

In 1993 he was invited to play with the world famous Scala of Milan under the direction of maestro Riccardo Muti.

In 2000 he recorded the CD "Nuages" with the pianist Anna Pedrazzini.
He has participated in many concerts of international standing and has developed a repertoire that extends from the baroque period to contemporary French music.

He currently teaches music at the European School of Varese.
For many years he has collaborated with the Chamber Music orchestra of Varese, directed by maestro Fabio Bagatin.

He has collaborated as a trio with the soprano Francesca Lombardi Mazzuli and the pianist Francesco Miotti.

Currently he is working with the pianist Giulio Zappa.
